You'll Be the Death of Me!
Meddling landladies, fashion-tortured canines, psychotic best
friends - is that what it takes to bring two love-jaded people
together, or will they be killed by good intentions?

Allison Leavitt is great at living in a make-believe world. She’s created one in
her best-selling mystery novels, home of her fantasy man, a hard-nosed
detective with a granite-encrusted heart. It’s taken years for an artist to finally
capture his image, the one she’s lived with in her head for far too long, so
imagine her shock when she discovers her dream lover standing in her living
room!

When the shock fades, one question remains: now that she’s found him, what
is she going to do about making fantasy reality?

Displaced Los Angeles Detective Jay Cantrall isn’t happy with his Spokane,
Washington assignment, and even more disgruntled with his whacked-out
apartment house. The landlady runs around in muumuus with the ugliest dog
he’s ever seen―a dog that hates Jay but has romantic tendencies toward his
leg.  One tenant thinks nothing of staging mock murders, another is a man-
shark, and his next-door neighbor, Allison, although incredibly delectable, is
quite possibly the most willful, aggravating woman he’s ever met in his life.

Besides, he’s learned his lesson where women are concerned: nothing can
bring a man’s downfall faster than a woman’s lies.

Whenever Jay and Allison are near each other, disaster strikes. And when
one of the disasters leaves Jay injured, guilt-ridden Allison decides to nurse
the cranky cop back to health. But will her ministrations heal the wounds deep
inside both of them, or will it end in yet another disaster?

"Stacia Wolf has an awesome story with You’ll be the Death of Me. Ms. Wolf
has done a fantastic job of bringing the romance to the reader, hooking you
from page one. Ms. Wolf’s sense of humor is fantastic and will have you
laughing until you cry. Everything you need for the perfect romance and so
much more is here: great characters, laugh out loud scenes and a little bit of
love. Allison and Jay’s mistrust of each other will have the reader screaming
while the actions by Ping, the terrorist dog, will have you laughing until it
hurts. Ms. Wolf will have the readers in knots with all the twists and mystery.
Every character has secrets and you will be dying to find out what they are.
You’ll be the Death of Me is a wonderful book that I would recommend to
everyone."

"This is an amusing story. I found it to be highly entertaining and very well
written. It is enjoyable to see romance not always being taken too seriously. I
look forward to seeing more works by Ms. Wolf and highly recommend You’ll
be the Death of Me. In my opinion, it would be a great addition to anyone's
collection."

"The characters of Allison and Jay are very likeable and enjoyable
characters. Allison is one of those people who knows everybody. Jay feel
somewhat displaced having recently moved because of problems at work
requiring a transfer. Despite Jay’s attempts to keep to himself he finds himself
drawn into the day-to-day happenings of all the residents of the apartment
building, most of them colorful characters. This story has tremendous heat
between Allison and Jay, constant comedy because of all the goings-on in the
apartment building, a lot of amusing situations where Ping is after Jay for
some reason and through it all, there is the landlady Birdie Talbot. This story
is great fun and I recommend it to everyone. "

"I really enjoyed You’ll Be the Death of Me, with its quirky sense of humor and
its cast of appealing characters.  Ms. Wolf has a quirky sense of humor,
which makes the story light-hearted as well as hopeful.  Immediately I found
myself “rooting for” Allison and Jay, both of whom have allowed negative
relationship experiences to ice over their hearts.  This is one of those books
where the reader just wants the characters to achieve their goals and the
dreams close to their hearts."

"YOU’LL BE THE DEATH OF ME is an entertaining, well-paced novel with
some unique secondary characters and humorous moments in the
developing relationship between Alison and Jay... YOU’LL BE THE DEATH
OF ME contains a number of interesting plot twists that I never anticipated,
showing the creative mind of this author. Stacia Wolf is destined to write many
interesting mysteries." ~ Lisa Baca, Romance Reviews Today

"Stacia Wolf has debuted with this lovely and sometimes humorous novel with
an apartment block full of colorful characters that each bring something to the
table...including Ping, the dog who finds Jay's leg highly attractive. With
sexual tension at its best and insecurities from both characters coming off
wonderfully and not overwhelming the reader, I found this a delightful read
and will look out for more of Stacia Wolf's books."

And here's my favorite:

"Not fair! If all your books are as good as this first one I don't stand a chance.
You had me laughing hysterically through the whole thing and tears
streaming at the end. I am totally impressed and I will definitely recommend
your work to other avid readers. I finished it in about 31/2 hours because I
couldn't quit reading it. Matter of fact I just finished reading it. I can't wait till
the next one comes out. I have another favorite author. You rank right up
there with Jude Devereaux, Kathleen E. Woodwiss, Johanna Lindsey and two
more of my all time favorite "local" authors, Lynn Kurland and Kristen
Hannah. You Go Girl!!!
I can just hear you saying "How dare you punt my Ping"! I almost fell out of my
chair I was laughing so hard. "
